A letter from his grandfather leads Chihiro to an ice cave where a centuries-old, frozen zombie reveals the secrets of Grandpa Jogoro’s tragic past and the origins of the zombie elixir. All this unlocks a deep-seated memory in Chihiro that finally reveals the reason behind his infatuation with zombies, but before he has time to reflect on everything, Chihiro discovers that Rea has gone on a rampage in search of her “favorite food.” Will Chihiro sacrifice himself to satiate Rea’s voracious appetite for human flesh?

Though he barely escaped with his life, Chihiro has returned with the rest of his crew to Shiyoh City with newfound hope for Bub and Rea. Looking to save Bub, Chihiro and company have finally arrived at ZoMA HQ, where they meet the leader, Salva Arciento Kurumiya, and his adorable zombie daughter, Rosarie. They call this place the “zombie holy land,” and with so many cute girls around it certainly seems like heaven! But the chief has taken an interest in Rea and insists on probing her unique zombie state. Just how dangerous are these tests? And could Rea’s rare condition be the key to curing all the world’s zombies of their lust for flesh?

Searching through the forest at night, Chihiro finds Bub and comes face-to-face with the true nature that lies waiting in all zombies as his beloved pet turns against him.
