Dice Rosa Montero que las entrevistas añejas son como las fotos antiguas: tiempo remansado, detenido. Leyéndolas, uno piensa a menudo en la inocencia perdida, en todas las cosas que ahora sabes que han sucedido pero que aún desconocían el entrevistado y el entrevistador en el momento de su encuentro.

Esta obra recoge las entrevistas más emblemáticas -alguna de ellas inédita- llevadas a cabo por Montero. Son entrevistas llamadas “de personalidad”, que procuran no ser esclavas de una actualidad urgente y anecdótica y poseen el atractivo de la narrativa. Entre los personajes cuyas entrevistas figuran en la antología podemos encontrar una gran variedad de personajes destacados: Vargas Llosa, Javier Marías, Paul McCartney, Malala, Montserrat Caballé y Harrison Ford, entre otros.

A selection of the most emblematic interviews by one of the greatest journalists.
 
For Rosa Montero, old interviews are like vintage photographs; they portray time standing still. By reading them at a later time, one often thinks of a lost innocence, of all the things we now know have happened since then but were unknown to the interviewee and the interviewer at the time of their meeting.
 
This work compiles Montero’s most emblematic interviews, some of them never before published. These are what she would call “personality” interviews, where she tries not to get caught up on news or anecdotal current events, and possess a great narrative style.
Within the compilation of this anthology we find a variety of prominent names like: Mario Vargas Llosa, Javier Marias, Paul McCartney, Malala, Montserrat Caballé, and Harrison Ford, among others.
