Irene Latham is the award-winning author of two novels for children, Leaving Gee’s Bend and Don’t Feed the Boy. Her first poetry picture book, Dear Wandering Wildebeest, won a Nerdy Book Award for Poetry and was named an NCTE 2015 Notable Poetry book, among other honors. She lives in Birmingham, Alabama. Amy Hevron is the author-illustrator of City of Leafcutter Ants, The Longest Journey and her Tiny Habitats series which includes Log Life, a 2025 PNBA Book Awards Shortlisted book.
