Los hermanos Carl y Roy Opgard han triunfado, por así decirlo, en la vida. O al menos lo han hecho partiendo de las ínfimas posibilidades que les brinda un pueblo pequeño como Os. Por su parte, el alguacil de Os está a punto de dar con nuevas pruebas que demuestren la culpabilidad de los hermanos Opgard en varios crímenes del pasado.

Por suerte, a Carl y a Roy no les importa ensuciarse las manos para salvaguardar la prosperidad del pueblo o el apellido de su familia. Carl and Roy Opgard have succeeded in life. Or at least, by the standards of a small town like Os. Carl runs the upscale spa and Roy is in charge of the gas station, although he dreams of opening a spectacular amusement park with the world’s biggest wooden rollercoaster as its centerpiece.
 
When the state revives its plans to build a new highway through the region, the brothers must take decisive action to defend their future projects. And in the meantime, the local sheriff has new evidence pointing to their guilt in several past crimes.  
 
Fortunately, Carl and Roy don’t mind getting their hands dirty to protect the town’s prosperity and their family name. No one and nothing can deter them, not even each other … especially Roy, who is fond of metaphors recalling his planned rollercoaster: “The ride has already started; it’s too late to get off.”
