    Please tell us a bit about the story behind ADDIE AND THE AMAZING ACROBATS:

    “And so there I was– stuck on a NJ Transit train heading out of NYC. It was hot and I was grumpy. But when the sun started to set, three little identical bats appeared in the sky outside my window. My journey was stalled, but theirs was just beginning,” says author-illustrator Shauna Cagan. “They swooped and spiraled through the air, treating us passengers to a magnificent show. As more bats joined, I began to see them for what they were– ACRO-BATS (see what I did there?)! I started to wonder what would happen if one of these little bats decided that she was destined to stand out from the crowd, to be special, to be a star.”
