Claire Daverley graduated with a degree in fine art from the University of Oxford, and began a career in publishing, writing about books by day but her own by night. Her debut novel, Talking at Night, was published in over twenty languages, and shortlisted for the Debut of the Year at the British Book Awards in 2024. People in Love is her second novel. She currently lives in Scotland with her husband and spaniel.
