A Family Prayer

Shay Youngblood is a playwright and the author of Black Girl in Paris, The Big Mama Stories and Soul Kiss. The winner of a Pushcart Prize and a nominee for QPB’s New Voices award, she lives in New York City.

Kristina Swarner has been drawing since age three when she decided she wanted to become an artist. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design, and her work has been exhibited internationally. Swarner is an award-winning illustrator of books, magazines, greeting cards, and CD covers. She currently works out of her studio in Chicago.
