Discussion Questions:
1. Newlyweds April and Eddie find themselves under suspicion after trying to help a woman who was gravely injured. Have you attempted to help someone and it didn’t turn out how you planned? Did the experience change how you react in those situations?
2. April and Eddie got married after knowing each other for five months. Have you ever made an impulsive decision? How did it turn out? If you haven’t, do you ever wish you could?
3. After a difficult childhood, April has aimed to live an anonymous life, trying hard not to stand out or be noticed. What do you think of the choices she made prior to meeting Eddie? Would you have done anything differently in her situation?
4. Both April and Eddie are keeping secrets from each other. How do these secrets affect their relationship? Do you think it is acceptable to have some secrets in a marriage or partnership?
5. The urban legend of the Lost Girl plays a significant role in the story. Do you know of any local urban legends? Are there any in particular that scare you?

9. Detective Quentin is extremely tough on both April and Eddie and uses some questionable tactics to get the answers he’s looking for. Do you approve of his methods? Why or why not?
10. Murder Road is set in 1995. Do you have a decade you feel a particular nostalgia for? Or one that you distinctly didn’t love? Does the music or fashion of the time influence your decision?
