Little Golden Book Mommy Stories

Sharon Kane grew up in Indiana. Her first published drawing was at age nine, when she sent a pen-and-ink drawing to Highlights. A cartoon she started in her high school paper, Buttons An’ Beaux, became nationally syndicated and financed her college education at the University of Wisconsin. After graduation she began a career illustrating children’s books for Little Golden Books, Rand McNally, and the Methodist Publishing House. Her best-known book for Little Golden Books is Little Mommy.

Margo Bundell is an author known for Little Golden Book Mommy Stories, Where’s Woodstock, Through My Eyes, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, I Can Do It ABC, and many more. 

ELOISE WILKIN (1904–1987) illustrated dozens of classic Golden Books in her long career, including The Christmas Story, Wonders of Nature, Baby Listens, and We Help Mommy. Famous for her beautifully detailed paintings of the natural world and of cherubic children, she helped make Golden Books an icon. Her Golden Books Prayers for Children and My Little Golden Book About God have never been out of print.

Paul Meisel has illustrated more than 70 books, three of which he’s also written. His titles include See Me Run (2012 ALSC Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor), See Me Dig, and Zara’s Hats.
