C.M. Woodhouse
C. M. Woodhouse (1917–2001) was a member of British Parliament and led the Greek resistance against Hitler’s forces during World War II. After the war, he wrote several books on modern Greece, including The Struggle for Greece 1941–1949, The Rise and Fall of the Greek Colonels, and Capodistria: The Founder of Greek Independence. From 1955 to 1959, he was director general of the Royal Institute of International Affairs.
