Megan Ashley Smith, LCMHC, NCC, is a licensed clinical mental health therapist with a mission to help people overcome social anxiety and lead fulfilling lives. Having personally navigated the turbulent waters of social and general anxiety, she brings a deep sense of empathy and understanding to her practice, making her approach both relatable and compelling.
Megan’s journey as a therapist has included work with adults, teens, and children. She finds immense joy in engaging with schools and leading therapeutic groups, where she’s able to extend her reach and inspire positive change on a broader scale.
Outside the therapy room, her life is enriched by the companionship of her two beloved dogs, Guinness and Sage. Their playful energy and unconditional love are constant reminders of life’s simple joys. Music is another cornerstone of her life—fueling her spirit and providing a comforting escape.
Mindfulness is Megan’s anchor. It keeps her grounded and present, allowing her to navigate the complexities of life with grace and intention. This practice not only enhances her personal well-being, but also informs her therapeutic techniques by equipping her with effective tools to pass on to clients.
Megan’s own experiences with social anxiety drive the desire to help others navigating the same rough road. She’s dedicated to supporting others as they embark on their journey toward resilience, confidence, and joy.
