Jennifer N. R. Smith

Jennifer N. R. Smith is an award-winning illustrator based in Bristol and the author of Glow and Bang. She has a BA in fine arts and is certified in scientific illustration with MAA. In 2023, Glow was shortlisted for four AOI World Illustration Awards, won joint silver for Best Designed/Illustrated Book for Children at Junior Design Awards 2023, and has been nominated for the Yoto Carnegie Medal for Illustration 2024. Joanna Bagniewska is a zoologist and science communicator with a PhD from the University of Oxford. She works as a senior lecturer in environmental sciences at Brunel University and is the author of The Modern Bestiary: A Curated Collection of Wonderous Wildlife. Follow her on X @JMBagniewska.
