Elfquest is the product of wife-and-husband team of Wendy and Richard Pini. The Pinis outline the story as a team, Wendy (a self-trained professional artist) creates the final artwork, and Richard handles the business of publication. The couple met in 1969, appropriately enough through the letter column of a comic book.
