Zehra Hicks

Zehra Hicks is the author-illustrator of The Boy Who Hated Toothbrushes which was highly commended for The Macmillan Prize for Illustration in 2009, winner of the Heart of Hawick Award in 2012, shortlisted for the Read It Again! Cambridgeshire Children’s Picture Book Award and named Lovereading4Kids Debut of the Year 2011. Her book All Mine! was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal. Zehra is the illustrator of When Dinosaurs Walked the Earth, which won Oscar’s Book Prize 2024. This is her first book for DK.
