Karen Hesse

Karen S. Hesse is an American author of children’s literature and literature for young adults, often with historical settings. Her books include Aleutian Sparrow, The Music of Dolphins, Stowaway, Witness, and Out of the Dust, for which she won the Newbery Medal in 1997.
