DALE MIQUELON (b. 1940) was the professor of history and associate dean for humanities and fine arts at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon. He is the author of Dugard of Rouen: French Trade to Canada and the West Indies, 1729-1770 and editor of Society and Conquest: The Debate on the Bourgeoisie and Social Change in French Canada, 1700-1850.
