Sheila Rowbotham, one of Britain’s leading social historians, is the author of several landmark books on feminist history, including Hidden from History and Woman’s Consciousness, Man’s World. She has taught at the University of London, currently holds a research fellowship at the University of Manchester, and lectures frequently in the United States.
