Lynda La Plante is best known for her television miniseries Prime Suspect, and more recently for Bella Mafia, the miniseries based on her novel of the same name. She is the author of two previous crime thrillers, Cold Shoulder and Cold Blood. She lives in London and East Hampton, N.Y.
