About the Author
ANDREW KNEIER, PhD, was the only licensed clinical psychologist in the University of California, San Francisco, Comprehensive Cancer Center for many years. As the coordinator of the UCSF Psychosocial Oncology Program, he developed and managed the psychosocial support services and related research. He’s now in private practice as a counselor for cancer patients through affiliation with the Sierra Nevada Comprehensive Cancer Center.
