About the Author

Eva Amsen is a writer and science communicator, focused on the culture of science and the common ground between science and the arts. Her writing has been published widely, including in Nature, Nautilus, The Scientist, Undark, PNAS, Spacing Magazine, Hakai, the Forbes.com website, BOLD blog and in the books The Open Laboratory (2009) and The Best Science Writing Online (2012). In 2020, Eva won the ABSW Award for Opinion Piece or Editorial of the Year.
